Job Overview And Salary:

The Prefect is the leader of the class, holding each member of the class accountable for their contributions to learning. A successful Prefect is focused during instruction and practices seriously during work session. The Prefect is also aware of how other members of the class team are helping—or hindering—the learning of others. The prefect is essential in making the class work as a team. The Prefect earns 2 wisebucks each day.

Responsibilities and Duties

• The Captain is on time and prepared for class.
• The Captain is a model of focused behavior and is always willing to learn.
• The Captain communicates with teammates about students who are assets to our team and those students who are obstacles to our learning. He shares information with Wise as needed. Pending approval from Wise, the Captain can reward students with wisebucks.
• The Captain communicates with other employees checks that each employee has done their work each day, and they communicate with Wise about the weekly wages of other students with jobs, based on the weekly attendance record and work completed.

[FACILITATOR]

Job Overview and Salary

The Facilitator is responsible for keeping track of time. The Facilitator earns 2 wisebucks each day.

Responsibilities and Duties

• The Facilitator is on time and prepared for class.
• The Facilitator reminds Wise of the time as needed.
• The Facilitator records times in and out for students using hall passes.
• The Facilitator opens the locked door, pending approval from Wise.

The teacher, Wise, ad the team captain.

Job Overview and Salary

The Reporter is responsible for delivering work to others.  A successful Reporter is aware of work that needs to be returned and knows all the members of the class.  The Recorder earns 2 wisebucks each day.

Responsibilities and Duties

• The Reporter is on time/early and prepared for class.
• The Reporter is aware of items that are due and items that need to be returned.
• The Reporter helps collect work during each period, answering questions from students about what items are due and how to turn them in.
• The Reporter returns work to students at the beginning of each period or as needed and passes out blank papers.
• The Reporter answers questions about where to collect work for students who were absent.
• The Reporter helps students find work previously turned in without a name.

Qualifications

• Knows the names of all the students in the class
• Able to read various types of handwriting (including cursive)
• Able to use and help others use Schoology and grade change passes.
• Consistent attendance.

[RESOURCE MANAGER(s)]

The teacher, Ms. Wise, and the Team Captain.

Job Overview and Salary

The Technology Specialist monitors and reports on the use of technology (mobile devices, computers, and calculators) during class. A successful TS ensures that students are rewarded for productive uses of technology. A TS also holds students accountable when technology is misused. A TS is essential for ensuring that learning is not interrupted by the misuse of technology. Resource Manager(s) earn 2 wisebucks each day.

Responsibilities and Duties

• The Resource Manager(s) are on time and prepared for class.
• The Resource Manager(s) check that all calculators are accounted for an in the correct spots at the end of class. They also check that they are all off.
• The Resource Manager(s) lock and unlock the store to sell items the first and last 5 minutes of class.
• They restock the store as needed during Gold Time/Advisement.
• If students are permitted to use the coffee machine or microwave, the Resource Manager(s) make sure those items remain clean and report any damage.
