About Me

Hi! I am originally from Georgia--but I have traveled and taught all around the world. I earned a B.A. and M.A. in English as well as an M.A.T. in Mathematics Education. I am a Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellow, dedicated to helping all students have a meaningful experience with STEM curriculum.

During my teaching career, many of my dreams have come true. I was invited to write a TED-Ed Video Lesson that has been viewed over 400,000 times. I've been awarded over $35,000 in grants to serve students, schools, and the community. With those grants, I was able to purchase materials to design engaging classrooms and meaningful experiences for students. In 2018, I was featured in Kennesaw State Universities Annual Alumni Report as an alumnus who was impacting lives. I've even published a novel with Simon & Schuster!

Although I am happy to have made these dreams come true, what I'm most proud of is helping my students achieve many of their dreams, too.

My students have gone on to work for Google, to attend UCLA, NYU, and other great schools. Some of my students are artists, designers, bakery owners, and even actors! One student manages five BMW dealerships, and another owns his own greenhouse! Others have joined the armed forces of native countries such as Korea, Taiwan, and the USA.

My students come to me with many dreams, and I do my best to help each one become a success. I hope we can work together this year to bring YOU closer to YOUR dreams.
